Ice fishing mobility tip!
Whenever I go out on the ice, I always start with a few holes in the area that I have selected. If the bite slows or there is no bite, I will move 10 to 20 ft. away and drill a single hole and give this about 10 minutes or so. If the fish are there I stay, if not I will stay mobile until I find them. Good luck!!!

Hi Scott,
Just getting started, you will need a couple of poles. You can get them with plastic reels on them that only cost about $6. I would recommend going with a smaller diameter line i.e. 2 to 4 lb. test. Get several ice jigs in different colors and styles, such as the Widow Maker Killer Binkles or Mike Boettcher Hot Hook Ice Jigs. We have a nice selection of styles and colors. Also you will need a 5 gal. bucket to sit on. If you know someone with an auger I would try to borrow it as these will run about $40. Finally when it comes to clothes, always dress in layers. The more you have the better. I always bring extra and leave them in my truck. Good luck and let me know how you do.
